Fetch & Follow are a brand based in London who bring us beautifully elegant and timeless collars and leads. We chat with co-owner, Genesta, to talk about this gorgeous brand, what the future holds for Fetch & Follow, as well as what it's like to live in London if you're a dog-owner.
We would love to hear a bit about your company, who’s behind it and how it was developed.
Fetch & Follow is an East London-bred dog lifestyle brand, offering thoughtful designs that are stylish, functional and expertly fitted to meet the daily demands of the urban dog. Inspired by the practicalities that come with owning dogs in a fast-paced urban city, we set out on a mission to create a range of accessories designed to be timeless but with a cheeky nod to the playful characteristics of our dogs. Priding ourselves on producing high-quality products which are made to last and age alongside the personality of your dog.
Fetch & Follow is brought to you by friends, Genesta and Taneale, who have backgrounds in retail buying and design for the likes of the Designers Guild, Paul Smith and Cath Kidston.
What makes Fetch & Follow unique?
We don’t just make dog accessories – To us owning a dog opens up a world of opportunities every time you head out of the door on a walk. We love hearing about our customers stories they share with their dog which is why we host regular dog walks and events so we can spend time with them. We also host events about helping the educate dog owners on everything from grooming to training.
Tell us about the materials used in your products.
When developing products quality is always one of the most important factors. We choose materials which are made to last and with stand the rough and tumble of everyday life with a dog along with being as kind to the environment as possible. It is also very important to us that everything we make it made here in the UK.
We love your hound collars. Can you tell us about the background behind these?
Sighthound breeds need a different style of collar due to their longer and more delicate necks which why the collar is shaped the way it is and why it does not have the iconic Fetch & Follow O-Ring detail
We would love to hear more about your four-legged 'Fetchers' - George, Frank and Lacy.
The four-legged ‘Fetchers’ tasked with product testing include George the Boarder Terrier, Frank the Mini Schnauzer and Lacy the Whippet Staffie Recue
When we travelled to the UK, we noticed how dog-friendly it is! Tell us about the dog community in London.
Yes, we are really lucky here in London, especially in East London where our studio is based. We are surrounded by beautiful parks and most coffee shops and restaurants will either let you bring the dog in with you or they offer outdoor dining. We actually feature a different area on our blog every month where we document the ‘Top 5 Dog Friendly’ Places to visit in the borough
What does the future hold for Fetch & Follow?
Fetch & Follow is very much about the lifestyle that surrounds owning a dog – With that in mind we will be holding more events, dog walks and workshops. In addition, we have a really exciting new Autumn collection coming out for this winter.
